3. Should others care?
One of the most common attitudes regarding the Zika virus is that of the nonpregnant people. They frequently ask that if they are not pregnant, should they be worried too. Well, to answer that question, around 40 million Americans are visiting Zika affected areas every year. Some of them can be infected from their trips and it is only a matter of time before we hear that the infection has spread domestically through intercourse or other forms. So in order to be safe, yes everyone should care about the Zika virus and should take the proper steps to avoid it.
