8. The Closed Temple Gem Scam
Be aware of the strangers standing at the entrance of the temples at Bangkok cities. If they tell you that the temple is closed (at open hours) be sure it’s a fraud. Later they would call a tuk-tuk and take you to other temples to win your trust. And that’s when they tell you about the duty-free jewellery shop which has a good discount and even is cheap already, the gems are actually fake which you are going to buy.
Therefore, have a good research on the places where you are going along with its open and closed hours and stay safe and away from those people.
