4. Mindhunter
This is one of the best psychological dramas, if not the best, that Netflix has produced. The plot is set in the 1970s where two FBI agents are assigned with tasks of interviewing serial killers in order to solve open cases. Mindhunter scores 8.6/10 on IMDB and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is a suspenseful and fascinating drama that dives deep into the origins of criminal psychology. One interesting trivia about this show is that the interview scenes you see on this show are based upon actual interviews, sometimes almost word for word. This is a smart and totally binge-worthy show.
3. Dark
This another very highly rated German crime, drama, mystery series with a rating of 8.8/10 on IMDB and a massive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. The plot, quoting IMDB directly,
“A family saga with a supernatural twist, set in a German town, where the disappearance of two young children exposes the relationships among four families.”
The acting, the cinematography, the soundtrack, and the story in this show are nothing short of a work of genius. This show is just way beyond anything that you see coming out of Hollywood. You’d genuinely thank Netflix for producing a show like this.
