7. Fruit Smoothies
Smoothies seem like a good idea for a healthy snack/breakfast as they are made of fruit/ vegetables and yoghurt or milk. However, they also have a high sugar content, making them disastrous for diabetics. This is especially true for store-bought smoothies as they can have up to 510 calories. If you want a healthy smoothie, make them at home yourself so you can control what goes into it. Also, use vegetables such as beets or spinach and low sugar fruits like berries or bananas.
