1. High Cholesterol
High cholesterol is bad for the human body. It blocks off the blood vessels and clogs up the arteries. As a result, the blood flow is interrupted causing problems like stroke and chest pain. The blockage of arteries can also be noticed in the eyes. An eye doctor can easily notice the cholesterol deposits on the back of the eye. They are also visible on the front of the eye. A thin layer of the grey rim is formed around the cornea. These deposits also cause retinal blood vessel occlusion. This leads to a blockage of the blood flowing through the eye vessels and, as a result, temporary or even permanent blindness may occur.
