Often called “the super cheap, super-fun party Mecca,” Belgrade is known well for its floating clubs or ‘splavs’ which are rode on the Sava River for an extremely wild time. There’s also no cover charge to hop aboard on one from the other so feel free to change your floating ride anytime you want to. Before you go into a stomach-satisfying mission, the local specialty ćevapčići (grilled minced meat) with onion at one of the traditional cafe on Skadarlija, is a must try.
At daytime, especially if it’s summer, your first plans should be to explore the beaches on Ada Ciganlija, which is an island on Sava where you can enjoyingly swim, rent bikes go out on boats and bars and restaurants till sunset.
