1. Walking
All you need is a good pair of trainers and you are ready to go! Walking is probably one of the most prescribed activities for people with diabetes.” Brisk walking done at a pace to raise the heart rate is an aerobic exercise, and studies show beneficial effects when people with diabetes participate in aerobic activities at least three days a week for a total of 150 minutes. Incorporate it into your everyday activities. For example, do errands on foot, take a walk through the mall, or take a midday walk at lunch. Find a partner to go walking with early in the morning, or at night, when all your work is done. Aim to walk a total of 30 to 45 minutes or approximately 10,000 steps every day.
