And why shouldn’t they be? The tomatoes which are perfectly ripened are chosen and pureed, and afterwards canned. It then becomes not only sterilized but is also cheaper than fresh tomatoes. They can also be directly used in cooking and do not require washing, chopping or blending. It’s saving time and money. But with so many benefits it should come with a warning that should read “Causes Cancer”. The tin which is used in making cans for the tomatoes contains cancer-causing chemicals. When food is cooked with tomatoes from the cans, the chances of developing cancer increases.
