If I were to ask you, “What is the most illegal drug in the world” most of you would probably mention drugs like cocaine, heroin or even cannabis. However, the most illegal drug isn’t illegal at all. Alcohol is the most dangerous drug there is and it should be made illegal or at least controlled even strictly. Why? Because a number of damages alcohol can cause is much higher than the likes of cocaine and heroin. However, there are many reasons why the governments around the world will never make it illegal. And here are five reasons listed below.
5. Health-related costs are high
The health related costs from alcohol are significantly higher than that of other drugs. Sometimes the combined health-related costs of other drugs don’t come near that of alcohol. If you think about it, people are freely consuming alcohol every day. And every day somebody is getting some sort of sickness or diseases from over consumption of alcohol and thus end up seeking treatment. Why would the government want to ban something that provides a steady flow of income to their pockets?
