The relaxed muscles help the cells and tissues to heal and repair. Hormonal growth develops in your sleep. Research also suggest that sleep enhances recovery from illness. The level of protein rises when you sleep, which in turn increases your immunity level. Furthermore, the body produces oxygen around the waking hours, providing food energy.
Human being spend one-third of their lifetime sleeping and about 6 years of that, dreaming. On average the body needs eight to nine hours of sleep per day, in order to enjoy the books of this innate state of inertness.
