3. Space-based solar energy
This idea has been around since the 60s and can become plausible in the future. Different schemes have been made to try to transmit the sun’s energy from space using satellites. Most recently, a Japanese firm has planned to run an orbit above the earth’s Equator and transmit the energy through laser beams. This kind of energy can end human dependence on fossil fuels for power and can create a sustainable form of energy.
