1. Ginger may lower cholesterol levels
Cholesterol is bad for the heart. High levels of LDL lipoproteins in the blood can cause heart diseases and also heart attack. Fatty food can increase the level of cholesterol. A study done on 85 individuals who took 3 grams of ginger powder for 45 days showed a reduction in cholesterol level. Another study done on rats showed that ginger can be as effective as the drug atorvastatin in the reduction of cholesterol and blood triglycerides.
