6. No post-workout carbs
A lot of people wouldn’t recommend having carbs at all. But don’t listen to them. Carbs are actually good for rest days. During those days, carbs help your body to rebuild your muscles faster. However, you should skip having carbs after your workout. They are known for slowing down the rate of protein breakdown in the body on the days when you have worked out. Instead, you can always go try a peanut butter sandwich, any sports drinks or even a banana to refuel you.
