Netherlands; The country which has always been introduced to us as the one of lush, bright and blooming tulips and hyacinths in large rows, across endless fields of floral growth. Apart from that, the country is a small and densely populated one, with about 406 people per kilometer square, and 497 if water is excluded.
Although most of us know the country mostly for the lovely flowers, windmills and as the home of Rembrandt and Van Gogh, there are a few things which you probably didn’t know go around in Netherlands.
8. Food and Happiness
Like me, you might have not known this earlier that Netherlands is the second largest producer and exporter of food and agricultural products after the USA. Also, in 2013, Netherlands was rated as the ‘fourth happiest country’ in the world according to the United Nations World Happiness Report due to their standard of living which was considered very high.
