5. They trivialize you
When you are in an emotionally abusive relationship, you will notice that your partner is always looking for the opportunity to bring you down. No matter what it is that you do, they will make it seem less important. Even if it’s a job promotion, some sort of breakthrough or an achievement in life, they will trivialize it and not make you feel special.
