Some restaurants have separate items that are highlighted and marked as ‘chef’s specials’ that are pricier than other items. This is meant to tantalize you so that you pay more for what is a perfectly normal item with nothing fancy about it. The embellishments act as eye magnets and will hook your attention to certain expensive items.
