4. “It doesn’t have to do with you.”
It can be pretty exhausting wondering about everything we are doing wrong. We may want to stay in bed. We may refuse to go out or socialise. If I have a hard time making plans, don’t take it personally. We can be cranky and snap at you, even though you absolutely don’t deserve it. We want you to know above all else that it doesn’t have to do with you. It’s not your fault. We love you, and we’re so, so sorry if we ever give the impression that we don’t. We just don’t love our brain right now, and we don’t know how to deal with it.
