You may have hated it while growing up, but this veggie does have powerful cleansing properties. This is because it specifically works with the enzymes in your liver to turn toxins into something your body can eliminate easily. It releases sulforaphane called D-glucarate and indole-3-carbinol. These two substances are both known for their detoxification effects. If you dislike eating them boiled, try having them raw! Or better, sauté them in olive oil. It actually makes a great difference to the taste.
