4. The status quo
The new job may not give me the same job security or development opportunities as the current one. And what if the new place has worse work ethics? Not willing to take a risk, it is better if I stick to this place.
Job hopping is quite debatable, and has numerous attractions and downfalls to the tendency. You never know which employer sees it as beneficial, while someone else sees it as incompetence and unprofessionalism. Sticking to one workplace for years long is considered ‘conventionally’ desirable by many. According to me, if you do not try out other options, how will you know? Take risks, taste failures, you will be able to take better decisions on what is right for you.
