Misconception: Using wood or anything which is not metal or even sharp is healthy for the cast iron metals, and that’s because he seasoning will flake off the pan using them.

Actual Perception: After you season the pan properly it is not going to be that weak as you think it will. The oil gets bonded chemically to the metal surface as like someone has taped the oil in the skillet. And using any metal utensils won’t harm unless you keep on fighting in the metal area with your utensil. That would flake off obviously.
