6. Wedge your head
If you know the person beside you then ask them to recline their seat back but not as far as yours. This will allow you to wedge your head in the small opening created between the two seats. The only advantage your fellow mate will have from this is, you won’t be resting your head on their shoulder. If you are traveling alone on the other hand, then pick a window seat on your side. If you sleep on your left side at home, pick a seat on the left side of the plane. The best part about the left side is that the windows are off center making it easier to cozy up against the side of the plane.
