It is quite difficult to bring your body as close to 180 degrees and giving yourself enough legroom to stretch out. Keep the area under the seat in front of you free if you’re tall. If you legroom isn’t your top concern, use your carry-on bag, but make sure it’s not so large that it takes up all of room; there needs to some space for your feet.  Finally, make sure you have comfortable socks on and take off your shoes!
