7. Great Dane
The Great Dane or German Mastiff is known to be one of the largest breeds of dogs ever domesticated. They can grow up to be 44 inches tall and were originally bred to hunt boars and deer in Germany. Their large size can make them quite threatening to children and smaller animals.
