7. La Graciosa, Canary Islands
Three miles north of Lanzarote, the tiny island of La Graciosa is a very different kind of Canary Island. There are no cars, noise, or crowds on La Graciosa. Here, you’ll find a beautiful marine reserve with sandy paths, low-key restaurants, wild sand dunes, and beaches that look like they were just made. From the whitewashed port village of Caleta de Sebo, you can hike or rent a bike to get around the island. Spend your days at La Laja, where you can watch fishermen fix their nets, or head north to Las Conchas, where the emerald waters are rougher. The restaurants in Caleta are a short walk from the sea-facing apartments at Evita Beach Apartamentos.
