A review of nine studies found that people who drank coffee before working out had more endurance and felt less tired than people in a control group.

In another study of 126 older adults, drinking coffee was linked to better physical performance and faster walking speed. This was true even after the researchers took into account things like age, belly fat, and how much they moved around.

An extensive review also found that moderate caffeine use could slightly improve power output and time-trial completion time. But the results were different, so the researchers also said that caffeine might have other effects on different people.
