8. Compassion
Compassion is being able to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and give them feedback, such as support or comfort, or to share their sadness or happiness.
After living with someone for a few years, you might think you know them very well. But this can make it hard for you to understand each other better in your relationship.
To avoid making this mistake, work on being kind. Try to see things from the other person’s point of view. Close your eyes and try to imagine how the person must feel, considering who they are and what they are going through. Put aside what you think about the problem and try to understand how the other person feels. This will let you show empathy, which is so important for a happy and healthy relationship.
