6. Balance lifting
When you are lifting weights while sitting down or with some sort of support, you are basically in a balanced or stabilized state. It is, however, more effective to do exercise while standing up, or on one leg or even sitting on a Swiss ball. This is because you are in an unbalanced state and your body requires work to stabilize you. This brings out your core muscles into play thereby giving you high effectiveness. It also allows you to lift more and better.
