Think of it in this way, carbs are like fuel for your body. Just like how a car needs gas, your body needs carbs. It is the main source of energy for you to work properly. Yes, a lot of people will say that you should avoid carbs but that is only if you go overboard with it. Doing intense workouts will require carbs to keep you going. Banana is a great source of low fiber/high glycemic carbohydrates that you need for exercise.
