10. Take it slow
A lot of people who are lifting weights tend to do it in quick, fast repetitions. The think that doing fast and increasing the number of reps will increase their effectiveness. The truth, however, is that the slower you go the better it will be. Taking the time to lift and pull down increase your effectiveness as your muscles are feeling the strain and pain of the weights. This results in better muscle growth and better body shape. Lift and lower in a 5-second count in both direction.
