9. Lift big
If you are completely new to lifting weights then you better start out with smaller weights. Start small so that your body gets used to it and you develop a good form. A good form is essential for your health. However, once you are used to it and developed a good form, start lifting big. Take heavier weights to maximize your effectiveness. That does not mean you will sacrifice your form for heavy weights, no don’t ever do that. But if you can sustain your good form with heavy weights then you will see quicker and better results.
