Carbonated beverages are just not about the fizz, but they contain quite a many types of sugars such as corn syrups, fruit juices, etc. The combination of both the fructose and sucrose together can be harmful to those who are prone to insulin resistance at the risk of hormone over flowing in the body and thus cause diabetes. Insulin tells the body to store fat generally, but an altered secretion of it can lead to increased levels of fat to be stored inside the body. The intake of too much fructose can also cause resistance to leptin hormone which makes the body feel hungry all the time although it’s not really hungry. That is definitely not motivating you to lose a few pounds.
