Sometimes in some point of our existence we figure out that life can be considerably very unfair, embarrassing, worthless or even stuck at the edge of something which we deny overcoming. We lose hopes and give up without even trying once. And in this case, here comes Martin Pistorius who had been living 12 years with his mind trapped inside an unusable body, this is a place where everything of the body is asleep except the brain which stays awake the whole time.
8. The Appearance of the illness
Martin grew up in South Africa with his family and was fine until the age of 12; this is where the illness started to take over Martins body and made him lose control over his own body, therefore moving by himself was not an easy thing for him. Severe fatigue and sore throats did not let him out of his bed and afterwards the bed decided to keep him for years.
