Not everything is lost after you have gone into hibernation for two weeks. Yes, it will take time and twice as much effort to regain your former self but that does not mean everything you worked for is lost. There are various methods to get back into shape. The transition from regular exercise can be and should be done slowly. You have to ease back in. Don’t go and try to lift your personal record on the first day back. That is bad for your health. Try doing basic bodyweight exercises. Things like, squat, push-ups and lunges without weights are ideal for getting back into the workout world. Remember, “Start small, go big”. That should be your motto for working out. Take it slow and you’ll soon see the results you were used to appreciating before you took the mini-break.
