4. Doorknobs
To protect the rights of older people and people with disabilities, Vancouver, Canada introduced a law in 2014 that forbid installing round doorknobs on front doors. The basis of this law is that older and disabled people might have trouble grasping and twisting round-shaped doorknobs. It is much easier for them to handle a mechanism that has an ordinary lever as its base.
