Singapore banned chewing gums in 1992. They did it to keep their streets clean. However, in 2004 some arguments were made in favour of sugar-free chewing gums. The sugar-free chewing gums with a certain content of xylitol and calcium lactate, and some others, were recognized as health products. You can buy them in pharmacies and dentistries in Singapore. These pharmacies and dentists have special permission to sell them.
