You should be mindful of the time that you spend with those who emotionally drain you. For example, avoid answering messages that come at inappropriate times like early in the morning, late at night, and over the weekends. If they come to you in person, tell them straight away that you won’t have much time and will need to go soon. Don’t let this make you rude or unfriendly, it just means that you prioritize your time and energy.
