4. Squats are harmful to your knees

Most people find squats fairly easy to do. Deep squats can be tricky to master at first, especially if you haven’t worked out in a while. This is because in a deep squat the hip crease goes all the way past your knees and uses more muscle power and so burns more calories. However, there is no evidence that they are harmful for your knees. If you have trouble with deep squats (or any other move, for that matter), get a trainer to help you out.
