You know the old saying, “you are what you eat”? Well, there’s more truth to that than many people realize. Your daily diet goes hand-in-hand with your physical and mental health; there are some foods you should eat every day to maintain proper health, and there are even other foods you should eat to fight off different ailments or diseases.

Don’t think your diet means that much? Consider this: One in every five deaths across the globe is associated with a poor diet.

You may just feel fatigued or tired all the time, or you might have specific problems that could be changed by switching some things up with your nutrition. Let’s look at a few signs you need to change your diet. When you do, you’re likely to see some of those signs switch around, so you can feel healthy and energized all the time.

Having trouble going to the bathroom regularly? Even worse, do you struggle with constipation? People might not want to talk about their digestive system, but when yours is in distress, it definitely doesn’t feel good.

If you’ve tried other medications and you don’t want to rely on laxatives for a poor digestive system, take a look at your diet. Processed foods or fast foods are huge culprits when it comes to constipation. Foods with a lot of gluten can also cause problems. If you continuously struggle with digestive issues, you may need to cut gluten out of your diet.

Additionally, you can increase your intake of things like yogurt, which contains bacteria meant to restore your gut health. Kiwi, beans, and whole grains can also help your digestive system.
