3. Don’t jam- space out your studies
Lot of students tend to wait until the eleventh hour, and then in one evening they repeat the information again and again. But in this process, students will be deprived of the long term memory benefits. Studying at the last minute might allow you to do okay, but then on the final you won’t be able to keep as much information. Then in the next year, when you would need that information for the advanced course, it won’t be there.
In statistics, this is one of the most common scenario. Students seem to forget everything they studied in the previous year due to cramming.
Try to keep a space between information repetitions. On the first day, practice a bit, and then practice again two days later. Many studies have shown that spacing is really important to learn properly.
