As mentioned earlier that sitting around all day results in contraction of organs, your hip muscles slowly shorten and become tighter over the years of doing a desk job. It is very important to do some exercise to move and stretch the hip muscles and joints. Place a foam roller o the floor and lay on the floor with the roller on the upper outside of your leg, near your hip. Slowly roll on the foam roller so it gently kneads on your muscle tissues, tendons, and fascia from between your knee and all the way up to your hip. Continue rolling for a few minutes. Tight and stiff hips make it really uncomfortable to stand up straight and the tight joints put a lot of pressure on your lower back. So it really helps to stretch out your hip muscles and joints by opening up your hips by stretching your hip flexors. It will take away the unnecessary pressure off your hips and will make it a lot easier to stand straight and improve your posture.
