4. Pet Excuses
The thing about pet excuses is that you need to be absolutely credible in order to manage to call in sick. You can’t call you’re superior and say that your cat scratched you and you are bleeding and hence can’t come to work. It needs to be something serious. A very acceptable excuse is that your pet dog or cat has fallen sick and needs to be taken to a vet immediately. Somehow people feel more when the cats and dogs are in pain than human are and they let you take the day off. That does not mean you will call in sick because your pet peed on your work clothes.
