There is a widespread believe that we eat too much salt on a daily basis. However, according to scientists, the term “too much” is very questionable. Previously it was believed that consuming more than 2300 milligrams of salt is too much and health threatening. However, scientists today say that a healthy person can typically consume 6000 milligrams per day where average Americans actually consume 3500 milligrams per day.
