2. Start Over
A key part of stop obsessing over a loved one is to remove contacts with them. Clear out your social media in which you have that person. Get rid of their belongings or their gifts. Give yourself a chance to start all over again. A brand new canvas on which you can paint your life back together again. Avoid calling them, or texting them. Give yourself the time to get over that person. Once you do, then you can slowly ease them back into your life, that is if you want to. By starting over, you are no longer obsessed with them and that is a healthy step to recovery.
