Research suggests that a lack of the B12 vitamin can lead to ruptured lips. If your lips are cracking frequently at the corners, you might want to check with your doctor. Your doctor might recommend vitamins or even an injection if necessary. If the deficiency gets too serious it might result in decreased levels of red blood cells (anaemia) in your system so don’t let it reach that point.
