4. Keep a cool head
This might seem counterproductive to the last tip, but it has been proven to work. Research has shown that keeping your brain cool can help deal with sleeping problems. Most people with sleep-related issues are known to have greater-than-average brain activity in our frontal lobes when compared to others. The frontal lobes are the region of the brain that deals with planning and rational thinking. Basically, you can’t fall asleep because your brain is still alert and buzzing, and too hot to wind down.
Your room’s temperature should be set to 18 degrees in order to get some proper sleep. You can get a cooling mattress pad and keep your room cool if you have trouble falling asleep.
