7. Vague language
Restaurants are always pretty vague when it comes to describing the portions. Items are usually described as ‘regular’ or “half’ sized and you can only assume the portion size as you don’t know how big it is. The half sizes are generally marked up which makes full sizes seem like a better deal. Thus, people on a diet spend more while people who order the full think they’re getting a better deal. And you will never know the actual serving size.
