They are tailored to bring maximum profit to the franchise and use certain tricks that will tempt you into paying more than you think. 8. Fancy words
It is easy to observe that restaurants just love using adjectives and loaded language. Longer detailed descriptions will sell more food. Fried chicken becomes “crispy and succulent fried chicken” to tempt you into ordering that particular item. They also use ethnic names on ordinary dishes as this makes the food sound more authentic. This, in turn, allows them to charge you higher prices for a plain and ‘ordinary’ dish.
