1. Prunes
They don’t look very yummy and certainly don’t taste great. But it turns out, your mom was right, nothing clears up constipation like prunes. It doesn’t matter if you choose whole prunes or the juice- either way is guaranteed to bring you relief. Just be careful and make sure you don’t overboard as too much can result in an upset stomach. If you been treating constipation with laxatives for a long time with no changes, make prunes a staple part of your diet. Have a fistful for breakfast, or drink a glass of prune juice before bedtime.
