Folk 6. Cast Iron pan is Cast Iron pan, what to do with ancient or modern?
Misconception: It doesn’t matter whether the pans are old or new, they are all same and works the same.
Actual perception: The metals are same but the manner of making is not. Before, the cast iron pans were made by being casted in sand based molds, then has to be polished until the surface turns smooth enough. This caused the pans surface to have the perfect smooth finish where else now sometimes there are poorly finished pan surfaces with bumpy or scratchy surfaces in it being the final polishing process gone. So the ultimate result is that no matter of which age your pan belongs to, it has to be seasoned nicely for your non-stick property.
