4. Add a Nickname
What if you had two or more people in your contacts list with the same or similar names. In a moment of a hurry, you’d struggle to separate them. Hence the option of adding nicknames to contacts. In addition to keeping first and last names, you get to add a nickname to your contacts. Got a friend who you are not used to calling by their formal names? Just tell Siri their nickname. Here’s how you add nicknames:
- Open the Contacts app
- Tap on the contact card you’d like to add a nickname to
- Tap on “Edit”
- Scroll down and you’ll see “add field”. Tap on it.
- There’ll be an option to select “Nickname” from the menu
- “Nickname” should appear on as a new filed at the top of the contact card now. Just tap on it to add one.
